Call for Proposals

The Florida Psychological Association invites you to submit your proposals for our 2025 Statewide Convention! This year, we're offering a hybrid event with the theme of “Psychology in a Changing World: Innovation, Resilience, and Connection.” The Convention will be held September 13-14, with the in-person component being held in Tampa. Presenters must be in person (not virtual).

Innovation: From hospital settings to academia and private practices, innovation is key to meeting the demands of changing laws, expectations, and increasing the efficiency of Florida Psychologists. Share your cutting-edge practices that prevent burnout and ignite curiosity.

Resilience: As individuals and communities face unprecedented challenges, resilience has become a central focus in psychological research and practice. This theme seeks proposals that examine resilience-building strategies, trauma-informed care, adaptability in the face of adversity, and psychological well-being in uncertain times. Whether addressing personal resilience, systemic resilience, or cultural perspectives, we welcome discussions that enhance our understanding of human strength and perseverance.

Connection: Human connection is fundamental to mental health and well-being. This theme invites proposals that explore social relationships, therapeutic alliances, community engagement, or the role of psychology in fostering inclusivity and understanding. Topics may include the psychology of loneliness, the impact of digital communication on relationships, cultural considerations in therapy, and collaborative efforts to improve mental health outcomes.

Call for Proposals: We're seeking dynamic discussions on the latest digital research or applications, trends in practice, and new developments for whatever stage you are in your career. We are encouraging panel discussions because there is so much insight to gain about Psychology in a Changing World. Be a change-maker and present your groundbreaking ideas at the 2025 FPA Convention.

Let's bring psychologists together again to inspire and be inspired!
