The Ethics Advisor provides consultation to help FPA members practice in compliance with the APA Ethics Code. Dr. Christiane Blanco-Oilar is FPA's current Ethics Advisor. 

Dr. Blanco-Oilar is a licensed psychologist, Board certified in Counseling Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon and is Past President of FPA. Dr. Blanco-Oilar has been providing evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals and couples as a licensed psychologist since 2009. During her entire career, she has provided supervision to APA accredited doctoral internship programs as well as to early career psychologists.

Dr. Blanco-Oilar volunteers as Practice Sample Reviewer and as Oral Examiner for the Counseling Psychology Board of the American Board of Professional Psychology. She serves as Expert Reviewer for the Florida Department of Health on select Standard of Care cases and as a volunteer for Physicians for Human Rights, offering pro-bono asylum evaluations. While she practices as a generalist, her area of specialty is helping clients heal from recent or past trauma.

Dr. Blanco-Oilar has native fluency in Spanish and English. She is passionate about working with a diverse group of people including those from multicultural backgrounds.
