Psychopharmacologic Medical Errors - What Are They and How to Prevent Them

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

1.  Discuss root causes and "new mindset" associated with increased used of psychopharmacologic medications.

2.  Create cursory strategies which may lead to error reduction and prevention.

3.  Analyze the most common psychopharmacologic mistakes which may lead to medical mistakes and better understand how to monitor them for patient safety.

Approved for 2 hours of medical errors continuing education credits

Domestic Violence:  25 Years after the Death of Nicole Brown Simpson

3.  Name at least 5 areas of psychological impact of domestic violence

5.  Differentiate the changes in policy and laws regarding domestic violence 25 years after the death of Nicole   Brown Simpson

1.  Prepare for potential high risk situations and implement risk management strategies.

2.  Recognize the differences between statutes, administrative codes, and ethical guidelines.

3.  Explain recent Board of Psychology disciplinary cases.
