Supporting LGBTQ Youth in K-12 Education - North East Chapter

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

1.  Understand terminology related to identity, that include sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

2.  Examine some of the unique risk factors that affect LGBTQ youth in Florida, including homelessness, self-harm, substance abuse, and harassment.

3.  Adopt best practices for demonstrating support and inclusion of LGBTQ youth to build a more positive environment.

4.  Empower professionals to use learned tools and resources to demonstrate allyship for all students.

Approved for 2 hours of general continuing education credits.

Fees:  Free for FPA Members; $50 Non-FPA Members
