Challenging Clients:  Creative Use of Best Practices  (a focus on narcissism)

Learning Objectives

Participant will be able to:

(1)   Describe the term narcissism and the patterns consistent with this term.

(2)   Identify the etiological models of narcissism, realistic expectations for treatment, and techniques to employ in treatment with individuals evidencing narcissistic patterns.

(3)   Describe the impact of narcissistic patterns on close relationships and the utility of support and psychoeducation when working clinically with individuals experiencing these patterns in their intimate, familial, professional and other relationships.

 

Approved for 5 hours of general continuing education credits.
