Mediation, Parent Coordination and Mental Health Issues

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

(1) Describe the purpose of parent coordination as an alternative dispute resolution technique and how a parent coordinator can assist parents resolve issues while helping them avoid court, and therefore stress on the family

(2) Explain the role of a mediator and the process of mediation and how it can be used to reduce stress during a divorce

(3) Describe common mental health issues families including children struggle with secondary to divorce and explain 3 effective techniques to help treat these issues

Approved for 3 hours of general continuing education credits

Fee:  Free for FPA Members; $10 Non-FPA Members
