Resilience in the Face of Trauma: How to Prevent Compassion Fatigue and Burn-out When Working With Traumatized Individuals

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to :

(1)   Demonstrate how to relate from a trauma-informed perspective with both patients/clients and colleagues.

(2)   Describe the common traps that cause compassion fatigue and burn-out and develop self-awareness for signs of compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burn-out.

(3)  Develop specific strategies to nurture your professional development, heal from vicarious trauma, and avoid burn-out. 

Approved for 2 hours of general continuing education credits

Fees:  Free for FPA Members; $30 Non-FPA Members
