Diagnostic and Psychotherapeutic Considerations in Youth with Blindness or Visual Impairment and their Families - North East Chapter

 

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

1.  Identify and discuss three pitfalls to avoid in order to accurately diagnose youths with VI (YWVI).

2.  Identify and discuss proposed ”universals” in planning therapeutic interventions with YWVI and their families.

3.  Describe six resiliency factors that could positively impact therapeutic success and at least four threats to adaptation

 

Approved for 2 hour of general continuing education credits.
