Kids that Kill Juvenile Conference - Broward County Crime Commission/FPA Co-Sponsor

 

Learning Objectives:

1. This Conference will help Psychologists, and members of the Behavioral Health Community, better analyze the warning signs associated with crime, so that Juvenile Violent Crimes can be preempted and prevented.

2. The Conference will allow Psychologists and Behavioral Health specialists better analyze the science related to issues that are important, for society and the law, regarding adolescent brain development, violence and aggression.

3. This Conference will describe inherent details on whether violent juvenile offenders, whom commit homicide, are born that way, or are a product of a learned activity, or learned environment.

4.  The Conference will list typical behavioral signs children promulgate, after participating in incessant and ongoing Violent Video Game activities.

5.  This Conference will analyze the pros and cons of whether previously convicted Juvenile offenders, were of the proper mental mindset when they initially committed their felony crime. The discussion will assess if a prior Juvenile offender should be entitled to a new trial, as allotted via Graham v. Florida (2010) and Miller v. Alabama (2012)the analysis involved.  

 

Approved for 6 hours of general continuing education credits.

 

Fees: $125 + 25 if you wish to receive CEU's
